THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

You will provide overall support to Packing department, you will preform a variety of clerical  duties to keep  the department running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is an efficient and dynamic individual who can perform well while juggling multiple task with little to no direct supervision.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Planning and purchasing of raw -, packaging and other materials
  • Capturing of daily production
  • Reconciling daily production vs. the Production Recording System (PRS)
  • Reconciling daily production vs. Distribution receipts
  • Reconciling weekly production figures to the Finished Product (FP) reconciliation file
  • Reconciling weekly production to the Benchmarking file
  • Investigation of all variances identified during the various reconciliation processes
  • Rectifying and documenting all variances identified to ensure accurate reporting of production figures
  • Monitor packing material consumption and forecast requirements
  • Reconcile packing material usage and stock control
  • Manage labour time control inputs on the SACO time & attendance system
  • Track and report on overtime vs. BCEA compliance
  • Capturing of daily overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) stoppages
  • Overall equipment effectiveness 9OEE) stoppages analysis and investigation

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Key Attributes and Competencies
  • Analytical skills, Problem solving, Creative and solution orientated , Self-motivated, capable of working independently and delivering on time. An assertive, goal oriented self-starter with good interpersonal and organizing skills. Detail orientated and decision-making skills.
  • Minimum 4 – 5 years relevant business experience, preferably in purchasing or planning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12.  Excellent computer literacy essential:  Excel and Oracle.
