Job Vacancy: Fitter with Hydraulic Experience

Leading manufacturer Pratley is seeking a qualified Fitter with strong hydraulic experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and ensuring plant reliability through effective preventative and corrective maintenance. The role has a strong focus on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Breakdown response and root cause analysis.
- Accurate reporting and safety compliance.
- Housekeeping and equipment upgrades.
- Availability for standby or overtime when required.
Requirements:
- Valid Code 8, 10 or 14 driver’s licence.
- Recognised Trade Test qualification as a Fitter.
- Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, power packs, presses, and hose and pipework installation and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
- Welding and basic fabrication experience will be advantageous.
- Medically fit for work in an industrial environment.

- Excellent hydraulic fault-finding ability and analytical skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Remuneration:
