The Opportunity
The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. As a Professional Practitioner, the incumbent is also responsible for and is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions. The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in Nursing / B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 Qualification.
- Minimum of one-year extensive experience in private health care will be advantageous.
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Hematology and oncology experience will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
- Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
