Key Attributes & Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Land Bank CEO position will demonstrate the ability to:
- Provide strategic leadership and drive organizational transformation.
- Ensure clean governance and ethical leadership.
- Safeguard public resources and oversee the Land Bank’s long-term financial sustainability and inclusive growth in the agricultural sector.
- Build strong partnerships and manage stakeholder relations effectively.
Additionally, the incumbent must possess:
- 10+ years’ executive management experience in banking, development finance, financial services, or other regulated financial institutions.
- A sound understanding of South Africa’s economic development policy framework and current developments within the agricultural sector.
- A Master’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business, Development Economics, or a related field.
- A proven track record in executive leadership and/or managing large-scale operations.
- Experience in agriculture or related industries is a significant advantage.
- A visionary mindset with the ability to adapt to global agricultural trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
