Butchery Blockman: Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:
- Must have retail butchery blockman experience.
- Knowledge of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb and poultry.
- Experience with deboning, cutting, trimming and portioning meat.
- Knowledge of meat handling, storage and hygiene standards.
- Good understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Ability to operate butchery equipment safely.
- Physically fit and able to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
