Stanford Lake College, a leading co-educational independent school in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo Province, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Leaner Support Facilitator (Grade 8-9) to join its team. About the Role
This is a part-time fixed term contract position, commencing in January 2027 (negotiable). The successful candidate will report directly to the Deputy Headmistress: Academics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate appropriate soft-skills development for neurodivergent learners and learners experiencing barriers to learning.
- Support learners in developing the skills required to participate successfully in a mainstream educational environment.
- Develop, implement and monitor appropriate Individual Educational Programmes (IEPs) in collaboration with the relevant staff.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of accommodations and concessions.
- Collaborate with subject teachers, parents and the school’s support structures to promote learner progress and inclusion.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate records and monitor learner progress and support needs.
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive and respectful learning environment that recognises the diverse needs of the student body.
Requirements:
- A suitable qualification in Inclusive Education, Educational Psychology or a related field.
- Full registration with SACE.
- Experience in developing and facilitating soft-skills development programmes, particularly for learners who are neurodivergent or experience barriers to learning.
- A sound understanding of the requirements and processes relating to accommodations and concessions.
- Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring Individual Educational Programmes (IEPs).
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Concessions Coordinator and Deputy Headmistress: Academics in supporting qualifying learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to subject teachers and parents.
