Are you a passionate and experienced Aircraft Mechanic looking to shape the next generation of aviation engineers? Alt Academy, a leading SACAA Part 141 and EASA Part 147/66 aviation training academy, is seeking dedicated Aircraft Mechanic Instructors to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
As an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality theory and practical training to apprentices and trainee engineers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering comprehensive theory and practical training.
- Assessing competence and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Maintaining accurate training records.
- Upholding the highest hangar safety standards.
- Mentoring and developing the next generation of licensed engineers.
Requirements
To be considered for this vital position, applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- Grade 12 (Essential)
- Aircraft Mechanic Trade Test Certificate from an approved Testing Centre (Essential)
- NQF 7 Qualification and/or 5-10 years of live aircraft maintenance engineering environment experience.
- At least 2-3 years in a formal instructor or training lead role at an aviation school.
- A recognized “Train the Trainer” or vocational teaching certification.
- A valid AME Licence (Essential)
