1. PMU MANAGER
Department: TECHNICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Division: PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT (PMU)
Annual Salary: R749 476.82 (Excluding benefits)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Or equivalent qualification
- Registration with ECSA as a professional Engineering Technician / Technologist / Engineer will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years relevant experience required, with 2 years at supervisory level
- Knowledge of Local government legislations, policies and regulations
- A valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy: MS Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the key performance areas and specific output associated with PMU through the provision of guidance and advice on the formulation of proposals and design concepts, contract administration and, project management Of average complexity or complex forms.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable legislations, policies and regulations.
- Leads and manages PMU professional team and complex engineering processes.
- Provides technical inputs on the planning and implementation of capital projects.
- Manages capital projects and ensures adherence to identified standards and regulations.
- Manages multidisciplinary capital projects.
- Manages and control MIG projects applications by facilitating and supporting compilation and processing plans, as well as fulfilling requirements for MIG funding.
- Manages capital projects budget and schedules.
- Ensures proper alignment and integration of capital projects, budget and IDP.
2. CHIEF LICENSING OFFICER
Department: COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Division: TRAFFIC AND LICENSING SERVICES
Annual Salary: R630 458.28 (Excluding benefits)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma Examiner for Driving Licensing or equivalent NOF level 6 tertiary qualification from accredited Institute of high learning
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years relevant experience required, with 1 year at supervisory level
- Natis full-end user
- A valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy: MS Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attending to proper administrative and operational duties within Licensing and Registration sub-division.
- Ensures that all licensing revenue in line with the applicable financial prescripts Of the municipality are tallied and accounted for.
- Ensures both internal and external reports on account for licensing activities are properly conducted.
- Liaisons with internal and external stakeholders on licensing issues in line with the laid down laws.
- Allocating of optimal utilization of available resources within the Licensing and Registration sub-division.
- Ensuring accountability on matters affecting the Municipality on licensing issues.
- Ensuring compilations and submission of municipal reports on licensing and registration matters.
- Supervising a professional team.
3. MPAC COORDINATOR
Department: CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Division: ADMIN AND COUNCIL SUPPORT
Annual Salary: R400 381.40 (Excluding benefits)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration / Audit / Accountancy or equivalent qualification
- Minimum Of 2 – 3 years relevant experience required
- Sound knowledge of local government legislations and prescripts
- A valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy: MS Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and coordinates the key performance areas and outcomes for the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (M PAC) through the alignment and promotion of MPAC’s mandates / resolutions.
- Collating and ensuring proper perusal and probing of relevant documents such as audit reports on Annual Financial Statements (AFSs), reports issued by the AGSA, municipal council quarterly reports, Annual Performance Reports (APR), and others.
- Coordinating MPAC investigations and projects site visits.
- Coordinating the invitation of members of the public to attend any meetings of the committee in respect of section 16(1) of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000.
- Managing the administrative / secretarial / function associated with the activities of MPAC.
4. CHIEF TRAFFIC OFFICER (LAW ENFORCEMENT)
Department: COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Division: TRAFFIC AND LICENSING SERVICES
Annual Salary: R630 458.28 (Excluding benefits)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Basic Traffic Officer’s Diploma conferred by an accredited Traffic Training College or equivalent NQF level 06 Traffic related qualification from an accredited institute for higher learning
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years relevant experience required, with 1 year at supervisory level
- A valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy: MS Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements traffic law enforcement operational activities within the municipality.
- Implementing policies and procedures and ensuring that by-laws, regulations and crime prevention are enforced.
- Managing a number of traffic related operations within the municipality.
- Attending to continuous maintenance and calibration Of electronic system.
- Ensures optimal use and maintenance of resources and equipment, and adherence to performance.
- Ensures compilations and submissions Of the municipal report on traffic matters.
- Controls and supervision Of staff.
