Join Our Team: Tour Consultant at Africa Safari Trips
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Key Responsibilities:
- Client engagement and booking: Engage with clients via WhatsApp, email, and calls to manage inquiries, bookings, itineraries, and payments.
- Quotations & Pricing: Prepare and review proposals, negotiate rates with suppliers, and ensure accurate pricing room configurations.
- Reservations: Coordinate accommodation, flights, vehicles, and activities; confirm bookings and document client requests.
- Quality Assurance: Prepare client briefings, verify daily movement files, and confirm all bookings and supplier invoices are accurate.
- Customer Support: Provide emergency assistance during travel, manage complaints and refunds, and support the sales team with information.
Qualifications:
- 3-10 years experience as a tour consultant in South Africa.
- Extensive knowledge of South African properties, lodges, and destinations.
- Good understanding of Tour operations within South Africa (i.e., planning and execution).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and independent work ethic.
- Degree/Diploma in travel and tourism or similar field.
