Job Summary

As the Employee Wellness Coordinator, you will be instrumental in providing coordination and support services that uplift the health, wellbeing, resilience, and overall workplace experience of Members and Employees in Parliament. Your role will involve delivering preventative wellbeing initiatives, offering first-line wellbeing guidance and advice, coordinating referrals and case management activities, and facilitating appropriate support interventions. You will contribute significantly to fostering a healthy, inclusive, and productive work environment, aligning with the Human Capital Shared Services Strategy.

Key Performance Areas

  • Wellness programme development and implementation.
  • Employee wellness assistance, guidance, and advice (including first-line counselling).
  • Facilitation of Employee Assistance support and Training.
  • Employee Wellbeing Support and Case Management.
  • Implementation of comprehensive Occupational Health Services.
  • Enhancing the overall Employee Wellbeing Experience.
  • Executing General Administrative Responsibilities.
  • Implementing the Human Capital Service delivery model.

To Qualify, You Must Have:

  • Grade 12 or NQF level 4.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related psychology degree.
  • Professional registration with the SACSSP or HPCSA as a registered counsellor.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an Occupational Social Worker, Employee Wellness Practitioner, or Counsellor within the organisational wellness field.

Advantageous experience includes:

  • Employee wellbeing programme Management.
  • Mental Health.
  • First Aid.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
