Hanchu Energy: Technical Support Specialist Opportunity in Midrand, South Africa
Hanchu Energy, a leading energy company in South Africa, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Midrand. If you have a passion for renewable energy and a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Presales and Aftersales technical support to customers, installers, technicians, and internal staff.
- Conduct routine product training sessions for internal staff and customers.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems relating to electrical/solar systems.
- Provide technical guidance remotely by telephone, email, video call, or other communication platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of technical queries, faults, investigations, and resolutions.
- Conduct remote system diagnostics.
- Follow up on outstanding technical faults until resolution.
- Attend to customer sites when remote troubleshooting cannot resolve the issue.
- Assist with system commissioning when requested.
- Perform system upgrades and test.
- Manage technical complaints professionally and promptly.
- Provide technically accurate assistance to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, site visits, repairs, and system faults.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Electrical Engineering TVET Qualification, National Diploma, or relevant electrical/solar qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in solar PV and Renewable Energy Industry.
- Solar PV or renewable-energy training/certification will be advantageous.
- Trade test qualification will be an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime.
